“The Coaching is the REAL difference!”

After completing extensive research into the football trials industry, I have decided to launch my own trials company here in the UK, commencing Easter/April 2021.

“The reason for starting these trials is simple, I believe we have so much more to offer than any other trials company. It’s not just about being able to offer the players a chance to showcase their talent in front of a number of professional football scouts as many organisations do, but as a professional coach and scout myself, it’s more about being able to offer the complete package especially where the coaching is concerned.

We at CR1 UK Football Trials will be offering the chance to receive a truly ‘World Class’ coaching session designed by Colin himself and delivered by his specially selected team of ‘professional’ coaches. All players will receive top-class ‘advice and guidance’ during the coaching session and Colin believes that this will be the major difference and will make the CR1 UK Football Trials stand out from the rest!

UK Clubs Colin has worked on behalf of:

The experience and knowledge which Colin has obtained whilst working as both a professional coach and senior coach educator at some of the leading football clubs in London whilst also being fortunate enough to work alongside some of England and the worlds’ finest coaches, managers and experts has enabled him to develop his very own methods that have helped him to assist 90 plus players to become professional players.

Colin says: “Whilst working as a coach educator on behalf of the FA for over 20 years I have been kept informed of the very latest and up-to-date coaching methods and strategies including the various statistics and data that are very much part of  the modern day coaching and education programmes and have been able to apply them when working with both the individuals I have coached and also the clubs I have worked on behalf of.

These very same methods Colin has devised over the years will be used and implemented whether you choose to attend either the CR1 UK Football Trials or the CR1 UK 5 Day Residential Camps and Trials. So If you really want to give yourself the best possible chance to succeed and be ‘scouted’ at one of our ‘trials and coaching’ events then sign up today and see the difference it will really make to your game!

Whilst we appreciate that a 3 hour session at one of our CR1 UK Football Trials is not considered ideal for every player to really show their full potential, it will be sufficient time for our team of professional coaches and scouts to assess the players suitability to be selected to attend their particular club for a trial and probably more importantly for all those who do attend to see ‘How we can improve their game understanding and decision making in such a short space of time!’ Colin is confident that all players will witness an improvement and have a better understanding of the game from just one session and therefore players may want the full experience of really benefiting from our ‘World Class’ coaching system by signing up to attend one of our fantastic CR1 UK 5 Day Residential Camps and Trials commencing Easter 2021.

The unique difference that the CR1 UK Football Trials will be offering compared to ‘other’ trial organisations is in the actual ‘coaching’ programme which has been specially designed to give players the opportunity to experience a variety of coaching styles and methods that initially will include playing in an environment that will both challenge and encourage the players to ‘play without fear’ whilst making their own decisions in a variety of practises that are very much player led and are designed to allow players to really ‘showcase’ their technical ability.

The other main aim and focus of these coaching practises have been designed to improve both the players game understanding and decision making processes which will be achieved by coaching the players in a more structured environment that will be led by the coaches who will give the players all the specific detail which is the key to help them develop these very important areas of the game whatever position they play. The roles and responsibilities for all positions will be covered during the session for both the ‘in and out’ of possession of the game and will play a big part in the players tactical development and is one of the criteria that coaches and scouts will be assessing, particularly in the older age groups.

How many times do you hear players get told by a coach or a scout when attending either a match, training or ‘trials’ programme that they need to improve on either their ‘decision making’ or ‘game understanding’ without ever receiving the specifics and detail of what this actually means and how this can be achieved?

We at CR1 UK Football Trials will actually coach these very important and often neglected aspects of the game during our specially designed session and this will also enable us to assess how the players adapt psychologically to receiving direct information during this structured part of the session and more importantly how well they can retain this information during the trial matches when players are left to play ‘freely’ without any instruction.

Colin says “It is relatively easy to be able to spot the various and obvious technical qualities that each player may possess along with their ‘natural’ physicality and general athleticism however what is more difficult to assess is how will players react psychologically to actually being coached in a more structured environment which can be a problem for many players. We want to see if the players are coachable and we want to know how the individual actually responds to that particular style of coaching and how they then use this information during the game.

Every player who attends a CR1 UK Football Trial will receive an IDP (Individual Development Plan) outlining both their strengths and development areas which are based on the LTPD (Long Term Player Development) and The FA’s 4 corner model which will allow players to review how well they performed at the trial on the various components including the Technical/Tactical Physical, Psychological and Social corners.

Our

Promise

and

to all who attend

Whilst we cannot guarantee any player who attends either our CR1 UK Football Trials or CR1 UK 5 Day Residential Camps will be scouted, we do PROMISE to maximise their chances of being selected for a trial because of the quality of the coaching and advice they will receive on the day. We will also GUARANTEE that every player who attends will have an experience not to forget and will return home a more informed player with an improved knowledge of ‘game understanding’, particularly around the individuals roles, responsibilities and positional play within the team and therefore certainly have a better understanding of the ‘decision making’ process that everybody talks about to progress within the game.
